  1. I feel your pain my friend; it is like they go out of their way to be difficult. They have forgotten that they are employed to help protect us NOT take out their frustrations.

  2. If you really want to highlight their ignorance, you should inform them that the number on most products indicates the weight of the product, not the volume. The TSA regulation restricts the volume that one can carry through security, not the weight. So a product that has a net wt of 4 OZ ISN’T necessarily banned, because a net wt of 4 OZ is not the same thing as a volume of 4 OZ.

    In other words, next time tell the TSA agent that they cannot tell whether an item is allowed when something says net wt. A net wt is NOT volume.
